create
next gen talent
LupoTek builds sovereign, dual-use technologies that protect people, preserve societies, and advance human flourishing.
Our internship program brings early-career engineers, researchers, product builders, and operators into small, mission-focused teams where work matters from day one.
We move fast, ship responsibly, and prioritise measurable outcomes delivered under strict security, ethical and program governance.
We do not seek publicity. We seek people who want to work on important problems in controlled environments with trusted partners.
the basics
-
We look for technically excellent, mission-driven emerging talent across these disciplines:
Software engineering: autonomy stacks, sensor fusion, reliable distributed systems.
Robotics & controls: perception, guidance, swarm behaviour, embedded systems.
Electrical & RF engineering: sensing, SIGINT/ESM, beam and power subsystems.
Mechanical & aerospace engineering: airframe, thermal, structures, propulsion interfaces.
Data science & ML: model design, operational ML, safe-AI tooling and assurance.
Systems engineering & integration: test engineering, CI/CD, verification, and safety.
Policy, ethics & governance: safety assurance, policy design, responsible deployment frameworks.
We welcome students in late undergraduate and graduate programs, recent graduates, and early-career professionals who demonstrate exceptional technical skill, judicious curiosity, and a commitment to the public-good use of technology.
-
LupoTek internships are immersive, hands-on, and mission-centric. Typical components include:
12–56 week placements (flex durations considered) with full-time and part-time tracks.
Small-team embedding: interns join core engineering squads and contribute to end-to-end deliverables.
Mentorship: direct technical mentorship from senior engineers and program leads.
Project ownership: meaningful, measurable projects with clear engineering deliverables and demonstration milestones.
Secure work practices: all work follows LupoTek security policy, with appropriate vetting and access controls.
Evaluation & pathways: performance reviews and pathways to return offers or further collaboration on contractor/academic engagements.
-
Examples of real intern contributions:
Implement and validate sensor-fusion pipelines for multi-modal ISR feeds.
Prototype autonomy behaviours and run closed-loop simulations.
Build hardware-in-the-loop test benches and execute field trials in controlled ranges.
Harden data pipelines and implement encrypted telemetry flows.
Support ethics & policy reviews, translating operational constraints into system requirements.
Automate verification tests to shorten the feedback loop between design and flight.
-
Impactful experience: work on systems that matter — not summer projects that collect dust.
Close mentorship: high-touch guidance from senior engineers and domain experts.
Technical growth: exposure to end-to-end development lifecycles and production-focused engineering.
Competitive compensation: market-competitive pay and, where applicable, relocation support.
Confidentiality & trust: experience working under sovereign, NDA-protected programs that value discretion.
Career pathways: strong conversion potential for full-time roles or repeat internships.
-
Must be legally eligible to work in the operating jurisdiction and able to pass company vetting (background checks, security screening as required).
US / Australia / Allied partners: citizenship or appropriate sponsorship may be required for certain roles or projects.
We prioritise candidates who demonstrate ethical judgement and alignment with LupoTek’s humanity-first mission.
-
Apply online — submit CV, cover letter (2–3 paragraphs on your interest and relevant experience), and a short technical sample or portfolio link.
Technical screen — concise coding/engineering assessment or take-home task.
Interview loop — 2–3 interviews with technical leads and a culture/ethics discussion.
Offer & onboarding — conditional on background and security checks; onboarding covers secure practices and program expectations.
We run multiple intake cycles per year. Rolling applications are encouraged.
-
Q: Do interns travel for field tests?
A: Some roles include travel to secure test ranges or partner facilities; travel is planned and supported under strict safety and program controls.
Q: Will my work be published?
A: LupoTek operates discreetly. Intern work is typically confidential; publication or public demo requires explicit program approval.
Q: Can I get course credit?
A: Many universities accept LupoTek internships for credit — coordinate with your academic advisor during application.
Q: What if I need visa support?
A: Sponsorship depends on role and jurisdiction; we evaluate on a case-by-case basis for select candidates.
Q: Are remote internships available?
A: Certain roles accommodate remote work, but most require on-site collaboration due to hardware access and secure facilities.

We are free-thinkers, engineers, operators, and ethicists united by a single purpose: to build technologies that protect people and preserve society. We value candour, technical rigor, humility, and a relentless focus on outcomes. We work quietly and with integrity - if that matches you, we’d like to meet.
